Parade Square, Zurich: Tours & Tickets

Within the span of an hour and a half, Monica was able to weave an enchanting tale about the history of Zurich. As we climbed a hill to view the city center from above and crossed bridges above a glittering, azure lake, I learned so much not only about the city's history, but also its people. Because I also mentioned that I wanted to take pictures, Monica made sure to point out some really picturesque spots and even helped take photos of me. At the end of the tour, she advised me on which Swiss chocolates were best to take home as gifts and also helped me find the right tram number to take back to my hotel. This was truly one of the best walking tours I've joined with a considerate and knowledgeable guide. P.S. Thank you for the Swiss tea! It was lovely. <3

We were a group of 11, and Monica did a great job of giving us an overview of the foundations of the city and how it developed. Hearing about important revolutions, learning about the different guilds, and seeing the model of old Zürich gave us an interesting perspective on the old ways of life compared to the commercial, financial city of today. Monica was great at answering our questions, and you could feel her passion about the city, its history, and its architecture.

The driver arrived on time shortly after we arrived in Zurich after a very long flight. He guided us in a friendly and pleasant manner. He is a careful driver who shared his knowledge with us while we drove by landmarks. We learned about the lay out of the city and the location of places of interest. He even dropped us off where we wanted to be later that afternoon. It is a pleasant and relaxing way to get an early overview before exploring the city further.

Compared to other tours I studied this was not only very satisfactory, carried out by a guide who was pleasant and courteous at all times, but also the price was excellent. Everything just as it should be. One problem. We had difficulty locating the guide at the H'bahnhof. It was not clear where we were to meet the guide. At the tourist information office they helped us.

Christian, our tour guide, was very informative and humorous. He was polite and courteous with the pace at which we travelled, seeking shade on a hot afternoon. The trip is well designed and perfect as an introduction to the city.
