What people are saying about Palais du Louvre
The museum itself is incredible, and well worth going to see! The timed entry ticket is worth getting to skip the line at the entrance to the pyramid. However, it's no help at all if you're interested in getting an audioguide. Once inside the museum you still need to join the normal ticket line in order to get an audioguide. It does say on the skip the line ticket that audioguide is not included - I didn't mind having to pay a little extra to get the audioguide but it was annoying to have to join the ticket line in order to get one.
If I had one suggestion I would find a way to separate the Mona Lisa patrons from those that didn't want to have a way of bypassing them to see the other exhibits. I know that this is a temporary placement and what I casually suggest might be nearly impossible. Seeing the Louvre was the main reason for my visit to Paris. The food and wine I admit came a close second. I found the people of Paris kind and very helpful all you need to do is be polite. I had one of my best experiences here and I hate to leave. Merce beaucoup Pat
No need to pick up the tickets or stand in the ticketsline. Beware waiting lines to see the Mona Lisa are long and there is no opportunity to actually study the painting. Enough other beautiful art to see next to the famous ones. Well organized: high security measurements but it moves very smoothly.
Buying your ticket ahead of time is definitely a perk. I personally prefer having my day organized and with a pre-purchased ticket and time slot, this allowed us to prepare an itinerary of our time in Paris so we were able to visit all the spots we wanted with no delays.
Visited during high season in the summer, the waiting lines can be huge, but with these tickets we were able to enter without waiting. The only long line was to see the Mona Lisa( which was nothing special ) . Great value for money. A must see if you are in Paris
