What people are saying about Palais du Louvre

Great guide, but tour should be renamed Mona Lisa exhibit tour.

Violet was an excellent guide - pleasant and knowledgable, but there was far too much concentration on Mona Lisa. At least an hour and a half of the tour was spent talking about this work and we felt that was too much. Venus de Milo and The Winged Victory of Samothrace and other numerous religious pieces were the other exhibits we spent the rest of the time exploring. We stayed for another two hours to see the things not covered like Caravaggio, Delacroix, van Dyck etc. We realise that not everything can be covered in such a short time, but there was far too much focus on one painting. I think the information should be made clearer that this is a Mona Lisa tour rather than a highlights one.

Absolute must if you have a spare hour or two!

Amazing experience learning about the history of wine and what is important when growing grapes to produce a good wine. Very informative, the sommelier has great knowledge and answers each question thoroughly. We tried three wines, One white, One Rose, and we had a choice then of Red or White, all of which were really nice (good enough to buy a few bottles at the end!) We paid for the personalised bottle of wine but unfortunately the machine to customise the label was not working, we still got our bottle albeit unpersonalised but it still tased great and you’re not getting a bad wine at all 10/10 definitely recommend and when we return to Paris something we will hopefully do again

Team Adam is the ONLY way to see the Louvre!!!

Our amazing guide Adam made the Louvre, both the structure and the artworks, come alive. Adam is not only very smart, but creates a really great group atmosphere and is very entertaining. He also made an effort to understand each person's country and cultural references to align the info. The Mona Lisa was really well done, but Adam did an excellent job of showing us other key pieces from the Venus de Milo to the Sphinx & Leonardo's best work (hint, not the Mona Lisa) and linking it up historically to give you the Big Picture context. Excellent tour and I'd ask for Adam if I was you!

If you could screen out rude people, unfortunately most from US

If I had one suggestion I would find a way to separate the Mona Lisa patrons from those that didn't want to have a way of bypassing them to see the other exhibits. I know that this is a temporary placement and what I casually suggest might be nearly impossible. Seeing the Louvre was the main reason for my visit to Paris. The food and wine I admit came a close second. I found the people of Paris kind and very helpful all you need to do is be polite. I had one of my best experiences here and I hate to leave. Merce beaucoup Pat

Good to skip the queue but hard to follow the audio guide

This was on my bucket list. We got there early after booking 2 days in advance. The person handing out the audio guides was extremely difficult to understand to the point that I didn’t. We were happy to skip the queue outside and chose to see the Mona Lisa first, a 30 min wait. From there we spent 2 hours wandering through the louvre without catching up to the audio guide! All in all, slightly disappointed
