What people are saying about Nuremberg
Our guide was late for our tour due to train problems linking Munich to Nuremberg. Our guide had to pick up guests from Munich. Overall, for the price I had to pay (like 25 USD) it was a good walk through town Nürnberg and visiting a few key sites during the Holy Roman Empire and a visit to Nürnberg Rally Grounds. Nationalist Socialist Worker's Party (aka Nazi) try to link their institution with the Holy Roman Empire. Just like what Mussolini did with the Roman Empire. It was very informative and I visited the Documentation Center near the Rally grounds on my own after the tour. The Documentation Center did a wonderful presentation of the Nazi Era. There is lot of good information in English (including an English audio guide). I arrived in the afternoon so I could not see the entire program like I would have if I had the whole day. But given what I could see I would recommend the entire center. There is an interesting section on International Press perspective of Hitler and the Nazi.
The guide, Chris was very knowledgeable about the town, engaged with everyone from the group and gave us enough time to explore. Being a tour guide myself, I found it hard to locate the tour in front of the Main Train station, as it is a very busy place and the guide did not hold the sign up, but held it in front of him, so we had to look very carefully for the group. Despite the constant danger of the sky coming down on us at any minute, we did make the most out of this tour and the town, which is so rich in culture and history. Thank you!!!!
The walk through the old medieval town of Nuremberg with our guide Keith was picturesque and informative. The walk through the Nazi Rally Grounds was also very interesting. Our guide Keith was friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to Keith's recommendation, we took the tram back from the Hauptbahnhof after the tour ended to the Dokumentation Museum, which was excellent.
Our guide Keith was very knowledgeable and approachable. Highlights were the Nazi Rally Ground, Trial Courthouse and the Old Town - Keith has given us a lot of background info about WWII, far more than these places. Felt like exploring Nuremberg with a friend. Thanks a lot Keith!
An efficient, comprehensive, historical contextualizing tour with a pleasant, considerate, informed guide. There is simply no better way, with limited time, to appreciate the key landmarks and their place and meaning.
