Bus ride and the audio guide were good. Some aspects need, however, improvement: - only a few stops were marked with City Sightseeing-symbol - the map on information brochure is not detailed enough for finding the stops - there was no time table available for start stop at Isaac's Cathedral - one hour break in the middle of the day is not pfererable and causes difficulties for personal scheduling.
The sight seeing tour was interesting and it is awesome that you can hop on/off at the different sights. Especially during the cold winter it is the best way to do sightseeing. Nevertheless it is a pity that the bus doesn't drive to the fortress and furthermore the windows were fogged and sometimes it was hard to see. All in all it was worth it!
The bus left conveniently from St Isaac's Cathedral. The drivers, and the guides, were polite, informative and helpful. The biggest downer was that the buses are not air-conditioned and many of the windows do not open, which in a heatwave such as this made life very difficult - for staff as well as passengers.
I find these a fabulous way to get a quick overview of a city and ST Petersburg was no different. The audio information was good, however would suggest they put music on in the background when words are not spoken so you know your ear piece has not fallen out, changed channel or volume
