This is a very interesting whole day tour that allows you to visit two important sites outside of Athens and see the countryside in the NE Peleponese. Although lunch was not included in the cost of the tour, the restaurant chosen was excellent and very good value. Our guide was very informative not just at the sites but also en route. Our only quibble was that insufficient time (15 mins) was allocated to visit the museum at the Mycenae site which has some very interesting exhibits.
Interesting tour , knowledgable guide. Only issue was the range of the ‘whisper’ ear pieces for us as the guide quickly went out of range for slower members of the group so we missed some of the information being given. There is very limited time at the archeological sites so you will not have time to examine them throughly but if you are looking for a pleasant day out with some culture and lovely scenery this is a great tour for you.
The tour itself was good, the guide enthusiastic, friendly and informative. The lunch was terrible: an eating house for want of a better word in the middle of nowhere. The lunch for my boys and me was not only bad it was expensive by the standards of even the most touristic areas of Athens. The lunch spoiled the whole trip and would incline me to discourage anyone from taking this tour.
Mycenae - the place of Agamemnon, Klytemnaestra, Elektra and Orest. And very tight family connections w.r.t. the Trojan war. And now all in reality! Our guide, Ms. Tsigaridou, was simply excellent: profound knowledge paired with wit and intelligence. As a surplus a very good organization of all. Epidauros - centre of greek medicine and dramatic arts in a green and very relaxing area.
The tour was absolutely lovely and Anastasia was a fantastic guide! She knew basically everything. I personally didn't choose the lunch option as Nafplio is such a nice village and I didn't want to miss out on this. A lovely ice-cream and a fresh lemonade did a good job in the Greek heat as well.
