A full day tour. A lot of driving, over 450km. (75% was on multi lane freeway.) Got an appreciation of the different landscapes. Nizwa fort was interesting and totally rebuilt. Oman’s Grand Canyon was amazing. The Wadi’s were interesting, and the old town built into the hills. Great restaurant for lunch.(Which you pay for yourself) but great food and not expensive. Guide arrived half an hour late, but when I rang company advised he was held up in traffic so felt reassured he would arrive. I good way to get a feel for the countryside of Oman if you only have a few days to visit. Would recommend.
Fantastic day out with a guide who really understood the local area. This is quite a long day with quite a lot of travel into the desert so do be prepared for a lot of travel. During our time in Oman we wanted to see some of the desert, this was an excellent way of doing this and we got to do some of the Dune bashing, visit the Bedouin camp and go swimming at the Wadi where we also had lunch. Throughout this all the guide, told us a lot of stories about the country. A long day, with a lot of driving but very highly recommended for a visit to Oman.
An enjoyable trip - the driver was particularly helpful throughout the trip. It would be useful to say to take towels in the what to pack section for bathing in the Wadis. Also a picture of what is acceptable to wear when swimming at the wadis (it was displayed on a signpost at the Wadi). We did think lunch was included.
It was a very nice and relaxing day with a good pace. All the major sites were seen and overall a great experience to see the history first hand. Would recommend for people not in a rush and enjoy long drives viewing the scenery outside. Lots to see and cost effective compared to a lot of the other local tour operators.
Great tour that’s covers all the main sites of Muscat. Our guide Abdullah was always very helpful, polite, and friendly. Also super informative about Muscat and the Muslim religion, I feel we learned a lot. He bought lunch and souvenirs for us, which was such a lovely touch. Overall, great experience!
