What people are saying about Montalcino
LOVED this tour and our guide (Her name started with an M). This was a smaller group tour in a van which is what we were looking for (as opposed to a large group in a bus). We went to different regions with their own unique and beautiful qualities which made it feel like we got to see a lot in one day. If you are wanting a wine focused experience, then this is it. The small group was great and we got to learn and ask a lot of questions. We had lunch in a vineyard then there were light snacks at the other vineyards. We had an opportunity to walk around to see the fortress, Montalcino, and the Abbey. Wine plus great sights made it a great tour.
At september 14 morning the bus pick up us (was late like 30min, they arrived from Florance, i guess the traffic was crazy) Had a wonderful day with our tour guides- she was soooo informative and spoke 3languages- first stip Montalcino. Drinking wine, had a little.... little! snack. Than heading to Pienza. Try some pecorino there, goes around the town(we had like 40-50 minutes) :( and travelling to our last stop to Montepulciano. Over all, trip was fine, good weather, nice wines (take food with you or prepare yoursef to eat quick at these towns’ reastaurants) Thanks for everything!
Great way to spend a day in Tuscany with a lovely international group. We were really lucky as it was the first day the sun came out for awhile so it was absolutely beautiful! The wine tastings were both very different and you get to learn a lot about each wine. Valentina was our guide and our driver was Lorenzo. They worked so hard guiding in both Spanish and English and everything ran so smoothly. We had more than enough time at all three cities and were on our way back to Florence just as the sun set for the day.
An absolutely amazing experience. This was our first wine tasting and our sommelier Alberto gave a good introduction and information regarding the estate, background, tasting and the wine making process and the Family's traditions. Food and wine was top notch. The estate itself is very beautiful and we were given a tour of the yard. Alberto was also very outgoing and humorous which made it a nice evening.
It was a great tour except we only had one very small cheese tasting at the end of the tour. I expected a bit more wine and cheese for the tasting. Otherwise, it was a great tour with an amazing tour guide and driver.
