Our guide made it all so interesting and easy

We loved having Deborah as our guide. She was informative and full of interesting facts and history and context but without being “boring” as the kids would say. My 11 and 9 year old loved it and the 6 year old enjoyed it as much as a tired 6 year old enjoys any museum!! We all learnt so much and it was a fabulous overview of the exhibits and the history of the Louvre itself. All in a manageable for kids 2 hours. As a contrast, we tried to do the Egyptian exhibition alone afterwards and it was so difficult to find our way etc - we were all very grateful we had seen the rest with our guide!!! Deborah herself is lovely and great with children. She answered all their questions and cared about the experience the children were having. The tour is expensive but if you want to get the most out of the Louvre for your family I highly recommend it as good value. Thank you!!!

Well-planned tour with a well-informed and FUNNY guide!

Damien met us promptly at the appointed spot, knew a way to avoid lines, talked about the hisyof the building itself, which we had requested, then led us to visitor favorites and also to what seemed to be some of his preferred highlights. His discourse was amusing, highly informative and informed. We had asked for a shorter tour (an hour and a half) in deference to the youngest member of our group. He was so passionate about the art, could have gone on for much longer, it was clear. We all agreed that we acquired some knowledge of the museum and its contents in a way different from/ perhaps not possible through a guide book or even an audio guide. Highly recommended!

A truly great way to see the Louvre highlights

This was a great way to see a little of the Louvre. I had a 10 year old so this was the perfect length for a tour in the heat of Paris’ Summer. We got a really good balanced tour with only 6 people so the group size was perfect. The Viewing of the Mona Lisa was I imagined it would be at a stampede. It was really quite scary and incredibly crowded. Think the museum has to rectify the process but our guide waited patiently until we were able to get a sneak peak. We could have stayed in after the tour but 2 hours was sufficient with a child. Highly recommend not having to wait in line for hours in the heat.

A wonderful option for 2 kids (ages 8 and 10)

This was a great experience for our family. Our kids were interested the whole time and learned a lot about French history, art, and the Louvre itself. My wife and I did too! The crowds were huge and we definitely would not have enjoyed the museum as much without a guided tour and the ability to skip several lines. Our guide focused on key pieces and told stories rather than trying to show us everything in 2.5 hours. Recommended.

The archetype of all museums, not to be missed

The archetype of all museums, the Platonic higher form on which all museums are based and which all museums can only aspire to emulate. Not to be missed by anyone with a love of history, art or culture. The crowds can be a bit stupendous too, but except for certain bottle necks (notably the Mona Lisa), the museum is big enough to accomodate them all
