Overall Jax did a decent job with this 3rd Reich tour, especially since it was snowing. (he did a great job in keeping us out of the elements whenever he could). It was a little frustrating that he started the tour early - we couldn't find him (when we found his counterparts, they didn't realize he had already left to start the tour). Luckily they found him 10 min later, but we would've missed the tour otherwise (even though we were not late!).
If anyone is particularly keen on learning about Hitler's rise to power, his upbringing, and other peculiar details surrounding WWII and the Holocaust, this tour was incredibly interesting. It was also an interesting way to see the city of Munich, with the perspective of a certain historical era. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially people who love history!
I was surprised by the quality and depth of historic analysis (paired with very good humour) that our guide Tom provided to us during the 3 hour tour. I really enjoyed it and I suggest it to anybody who wants to learn how Hitler gained power in Germany and make connections to today’s political environment and grow of fascism all around Europe.
This tour was the highlight of our visit to Munich. Alan is really interesting and knowledgeable and opened our eyes to so much that we would have otherwise missed. He even managed to keep two teenagers engaged for two whole hours which is saying something! 100% recommend this tour.
Jake was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed his approach to this tour. His enthusiasm and passion for the city and this specific, important factor of its history, was infectious. My partner and I loved it, we throughly recommend
