What people are saying about Marienplatz

The tour was interesting. The history of the whole tour is a little bit less than having the food experience. We were the only ones on the tour, thus it became a kind of personal tour for us. The tour guide was nice in all the explanation and we would go back to the Viktualienmarkt again for our daily marketing. The only thing we did not like is asking for a tip at the end of the tour. We have done the walking tours in many parts of the world and asking for tips was not very conspicuous there. Not sure if it was more conspicuous since we were the only ones in the tour but it somehow destroys the sweet memory of the whole tour.

We had an excellent day with Alun, even though we were the only two on the tour. Alun has an incredibly diverse background and can really speak with his tour about heavy intellectual subjects, how the tour applies to current events, and theoretical possibilities. We learned an incredible amount on our tour of Dachau which really helped us further appreciate the terrible events that happened there. Alun is an extremely stimulating guide and we thoroughly enjoyed his company!

I forgot the name of our guide. Sorry. But he’s from Ireland. (I’m so sorry, I forgot your name). He was very knowledgable about the beers that we tried. I learned a lot about the different kinds Of beer, the ingredients, and the history. I would love to do this tour again if I visit Munich next time. Thank you for the experience.

The tour is an great way to learn about Munich beer culture. It’s also a really nice way to meet people over 3 hours. It was exactly what I wanted (sociable and informative). There are a couple of free drinks (at the time of this review). Our guide Noel Byrnes was excellent. I cannot recommend this enough.

Our guide was informative and knowledgeable. Also very pleasant, answered all our questions and was attentive to the group. The duration of the tour was just enough- any shorter would be too short, and any longer would be too tiring for this kind of experience (walking tour).
