I would recommend a visit to Caminito del Rey to anyone as long as they don’t really struggle with heights. I’m not great with heights myself but the walkway feels safe and secure. I took my two teenage sons who also enjoyed it and our guide Paul engages them and gave us lots of additional information about the history, fauna, and flora. It was a small group and we felt well looked after. The gorge itself as phenomenal and it’s a unique way to experience such an awesome natural phenomenon.
Information about where to meet was not clear so at least a third of our party went to wrong meeting point. We were asked to meet half hour before tour start which was at 9,30am. Tour didnt get underway until just after 11.00am - lots of waiting around. Not brilliant as we had travelled a distance (nearly two hours) to get there.
The app did not give me tickets for my children. However the attendant shoved me to the front of the queue where the ticket office issued courtesy tickets for children. The museum itself showed Picasso’s early work which was interesting. Do not expect to see his most famous paintings here.
Ester was a very friendly guide who provided great insight into the history of Málaga. We really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend this tour as a kick-off to your time in the city. She pointed out some great spots to eat and the tour ended with a rooftop drink. Thanks Ester!!
Our tour with Samuel was amazing! He was so knowledgable about the Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba, it really made the difference when exploring the sites. Without Samuel's guidance, we would've neen roaming around Malaga without really understanding the importance of these structures.
