Planning Your Los Angeles Visit

When to visit Los Angeles?

The best time to visit the city is in the summer. From June into September there's plenty for tourists to do. Perfect beach weather and good temperatures all day long.

How to get around?

Los Angeles has a good public transport system for some of the city, but not all of it. In the more tourist-friendly areas, you can hop on and off of metro buses, DASH buses, and metro rail trains. But if you want to see the city for yourself and cover more ground around the beach areas, why not rent a car?

Where to stay?

If you're looking for somewhere that's not too expensive, then head to the downtown area. You'll find some great hotels that are well-connected to the city, but not so close to some attractions. West Hollywood is another good, but more expensive choice. Or why not book a stay at the beach in Santa Monica?

What people are saying about Los Angeles

Jacob looked after us extremely well during our trip.

The trip is an excellent way to get to see Palm Springs in a day. There was enough variety with a desert visit, a zoo trip, a good sample of mid century architecture and some shopping on the way home.

The tour was very informative and fun...

My friends and I had a good time and the instructor was nice and patient with beginners like myself...

Hollywood Sign & Griffith Park Hiking Tour Reviewed by Frances, 08/05/2018

Our guide Zahir was excellent; so very friendly and very helpful.

Details of the tour were quite inadequate, with no details of the time, or where we had to catch the tour (we were staying in a private residence rather than a hotel). I had to call the contact number to find out this info. However the lady who took my call was so very helpful.

Los Angeles: Half-Day Hollywood Homes and City Tour Reviewed by Richard, 08/03/2018

This express tour is the best way to see the best CA offers quickly.

This tour was all around fantastic... the sights, staff, and fellow passengers. Dorit, our tour guide, was funny, friendly, and made our time together all the more enjoyable with her exceptional photography skills. My friends found it hard to believe that we did so much in three days. I don't know any other tour that includes visits to all the major landmarks in Santa Barbara, Carmel, Solvang, San Francisco, and Yosemite. The visit to Yosemite was what I was looking forward to the most and it did not disappoint. We saw Bridal Veil, Tunnel View, Half Dome, El Capitan and had time to do a hike and have lunch. The group of people were super chill, very respectful and friendly towards each other. Even when unexpected situations occurred (e.g. no translator for the Italian couple, 'dry breakfast' at the Clarion), Dorit handled it quickly and professionally. Sam was an excellent, safe driver and such a gentleman. I'd take this tour again.

Fun activity to do in Santa Monica/Venice

This was a great experience from start to finish. Very helpful, informative and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.
