Full description
As night descends on the old alleyways that twist their way through the historic heart of the old City of London, the alleyways and shadows ghost tour will set off to explore the creepy and atmospheric places where ghosts are known to lurk. The tour will feature the place where Charles Dickens set Scrooge's counting house in A Christmas Carol; a ghostly girl has also been known to look down on passersby from one of its upper windows. The walk will then ventures into a creepy old churchyard where a truly sinister series of events resulted in one of 19th century London's most chilling hauntings. Next up will be the threshold of a dark and sinister passage where people have actually heard a ghostly whisper tell them to - "get out of here, now."

Having walked through the alleyway, you will find yourself gazing up at the awesome splendor of the Bank of England, where you will hear the story of the ghostly lady whose shade is still said to walk this section of the City searching for her "lost" brother. The tour will then arrive at London's medieval palace built between 1411 and 1429 over the remains of the Roman amphitheatre. Of course, with all this history crackling away beneath the surface, plenty of ghostly tales have evolved around this historic spot and you will hear some of the most recent hauntings as you stand and gaze up at this truly magnificent edifice.

The final destination on the tour will be another churchyard where one particular grave was singled out for special attention by the locals in the 19th century. They began recounting stories of a particular ghost that was known to haunt the vicinity, and even came up with a chant that, so they claimed, would enable the living to communicate with the spirit entombed therein.
