What people are saying about London

Great venue! Organistation needs streamlining

The tour as such was fantastic, we had a superb guide (a Welshman). The exhibition is overloaded and difficult to follow, even using the audioguide. Organisational weaknesses: the get-your-guide platform directed us to a free tour slot at 14:00. The voucher received afterwards stated 10:45 as meeting time for the tour at 11:00, and 14:00-15:00 as timing for the Afternoon Tea. I wrote a mail to the Globe with a polite request for clarification. The day before the event a nice lady called me that the final meeting time is 11:45 for 12:00. Moreover we were informed that there will be places for us for the Afternoon Tea at the bar of the restaurant, not at a table which was a pity and influenced the overall atmosphere. Too many unclarities and improvisation!

Great tour at a historic and fun venue; activities also wonderful!

Get Your Guide was not clear about what time the tours actually start. They said 9-12, but nowhere did it say what time we should arrive. We were unclear as to whether we would be able to go on a tour if we arrived, say, at 11:45. I even called the recommended number and left a message two days before our tour. No response. As it turned out, there are tours in the afternoon as well. You need to do better, Get Your Guide!

Our guide) gave an outstanding survey of the big themes

I felt as if Roussa (our guide) gave us a complete review of my favorite college course in Western Civ but in a way that was easy to understand. My 15 year old grandson was totally engaged the whole time. We had to hurry past exhibits we would like to have spent more time with, but if you want to get an overview of the HUGE British Museum, the was an excellent experience!

Roberta was enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable, charming, and great!

We totally enjoyed our time with Roberta at the British Museum and would highly recommend her. She was inspiring and very knowledgeable about the works — and welcomed some of us “chiming in” with more bits of info. One can imagine that some tour guides might find this tiresome— but she was totally charming!

The tour surpassed my high expectations.

I had many guides on my tours of London and they were all good. But Gerard Gilroy, the Globe Theater guide was the BEST. His knowledge, energy, enthusiasm, and humor almost made me unretire from teaching Shakespeare. I heartily recommend this tour and hopefully you will get Gerard as your guide!!
