  • Take in panoramic views of the desert and the oasis of Huacachina
Full description
Visit a natural oasis in the middle of the desert surrounded by beautiful palm trees. Here, you can also take pedal boat rides around the lagoon, practice sand-boarding and ride in tubular cars.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 4:00 AM. Before heading to Paracas. Once you arrive, board the 'sliders' at the pier and begin the excursion to the Ballestas Islands. On the way, we can see the 'Candelabro' (Paracas Chandelier), a large geoglyph that serves as a beacon to the navigators.

Continuing to the Ballestas Islands, you'll see the natural habitat of the sea lions. They love to approach the tourist boats, a truly magical spectacle that justifies the visit in itself. You will also be able to view the Humboldt penguins and guano birds.

Continuing to the province of Ica, get to know the culture and gastronomy with a typical lunch. After lunch, you'll go to the Huacachina Oasis and take a high-adrenaline ride in a sand buggies and also be able to try sandboarding. Finally, you'll have free time to walk around the oasis, take a boat ride, take pictures or buy handicrafts.
You will return to Lima by bus.

It is a very beautiful tour, just a little long so you should be prepared for that. I suggest that the collection be 4 am to be in marina 8 am and so leave at that time, because we arrived later and left at 10, total to Lima we returned 9 ppm so it became very heavy. The guide was wonderful.

The road to Paracas takes quite a long time, about 4 hours, sea lions are a breathtaking view, something amazing. In Huacachina it is worth trying sandboarding, and then swimming in the lake, although we did not have time for it, which is a pity. Then a short presentation of wines at Pisco that you can buy at a really good price. The guide spoke great english, a nice and very friendly guy. We recommend, although the trip is very demanding and exhausting. It is worth taking long pants and sweatshirts and during the day change into short shorts, the weather likes to change, once warm and once cold, a light jacket will also be useful. Take some sandwiches and water to start your trip. Boys who took photos, very polite and a good heart for animals, great view. Greetings to the great guide.

The activities that are offered on this tour are absolutely amazing and a lot of fun. My 3 star rating comes from the fact that most of the day is spent driving in a very small, cramped bus. Our day turned out to be a 19 hour day, leaving at 4.30am and arriving back at 11.00pm, well longer than what was expected. It took 3 hours to arrive to the first activity and this was not the furthest point. It took us 5 hours to journey home which felt worse on a bus where your knees are in the back of someone else's chair with no room to wiggle. Lunch was provided but wasn't worth waiting until 3pm to eat. My advise is bring lots of snacks as there is not a lot offered throughout the day for food.
