A lovely day out on a fine Sunday with a great Guide and Driver!

The morning rain soon cleared by the time we arrived at Leeds Castle with lively and interesting commentary throughout all the day by Sue and careful driving by Cheryl. With it being dark by the time we got to Greenwich, for the return boat trip, the cruise was even more enjoyable with the lights of the riverside buildings and historic sites illuminated! Sue ensured everybody knew how to get back to their accommodations before she parted with the 'multi-international' speaking group. My only complaint was that the map I was sent with my booking confirmation, 'supposedly' detailing where the coach was to pick me up, left me waiting for half an hour at 7.30am on a cold morning in the wrong place!! At 8am, with nobody else waiting, I ask two Megabus workers if I was definitely in the right place and they advised me the Golden Tours pick-up place was undercover in the middle of a building much further down the road. As a Stroke sufferer, I didn't appreciate this extra last-minute rush!

Pretty nice, but I'd skip Dover in favor of Canterbury

Here's how it goes: 1) travel to Leeds Castle - there's enough time to visit the castle, there's also a nice private guide; pretty nice; 2) Canterbury - really nice; I'd like to have more time there, it was not long enough (maybe 1.5-2 hours I think); 3) Dover - the bus stops at a really nice place for taking several pix, but that's all; the tour does not include visiting the town, just one single view at the top of the cliffs; yes, the view was amazing, but that's all. If I had the option to choose, I'd skip the Dover part, as it takes too long to reach there and to return back to London. I'd add 1-2h for staying in Canterbury, instead of traveling that long in the bus; 4) Greenwich - really cool; we had enough time there; note, that the tour does not include a visit to the Greenwich Meridian, which was kinda disappointing, but it's not a bit deal; 5) a nice boat trip back to central London. Overall, it was pretty nice, the organization was good, the guides were very kind.

great daytour without tourguide/native driver only

First of all our driver "Darren" was on time at the meeting point 08:30am. The meeting point was easy to find according the instructions in the booking. Our small bus was fully booked with 16 people. There was NO other tourguide so our driver tried his best to tell us a little bit while driving us the whole day but he was very hard to understand due to his accent and also due to the non proper working loudspeakers on the bus. But he was helpfull, water an sweets/mints included for all of us during the day. At all stops we had enough time by our own to explore the locations eventhough our driver missed the correct driving direction once or twice. 1. Canterbury (1,5h) 2. Whitecliffs of Dover (1h) 3. Leeds Castle (2h) At Leeds Castle Darren organized a reduced entrance fee, this was great! As there was a traffic jam in the evening back to London it took us a bit longer to come back. Drop off at 08pm. All together a great experience.

Rita was phenomenal !!! Knowledgeable, helpful, funny, authentic!

We couldn't have been mire5 happy with this tour!! Pack lunch was just OKand seat belts were too tight but irregardless .. our guide Rita and driver were GREAT! very clear directions, personable, friendly, knowledgeable. So wonderful!

Small group. Excellent tour guide. Enjoyed the White Cliffs of Dover.

I enjoyed the extra sights and very informative description of places along the way to our destination and on our return trip. Worth the value of the ticket price.
