What people are saying about Krakow

Intriguing place, really felt bad for the tour guide!

It feels strange to leave a review for such a place. The tour started by going to the pick up location, this got a bit cramped as there are multiple tours departing at the same location at the same time, however the guide was great at guiding everyone to the right bus. Issues began when arriving at Auschwitz, the queue was horrendous due to an event taking place that morning, we ended up waiting over 2 hours in line before entering. This was absolutely no fault of the guide as they were not aware of the delays and tried to do everything they could to make the time pass. I was really disappointed inside the camp by the behaviour of other tourists, people taking selfies in prohibited areas and generally acting with a lack of respect. Please if you are thinking of visiting Auschwitz, remember to act appropriately! Sadly we only had 1.5 hours in the camp due to the wait, but the guide still got us to Birkenau even though we were behind on time! Thank you to the guide and the driver

Takes the Hassle out of Visiting Auschwitz

You may be able to visit Auschwitz cheaper, as entrance to both sites is actually free. Auschwitz ii, you just walk through the entrance, no ticket required. A ticket is required for Auschwitz i, you can get them from the official Auschwitz website for free, but you can only enter at certain times of the day. Using this tour took out all the hassle of sorting tickets and travel to and from Auschwitz. We watched an informative video on the bus, and got free 25pln (£5.50 ish) guide book included within the cost. We didn't mind not having a tour guide as the booklet you receive has more than enough information in it. Also, the guy on the bus sorts everything out for you, tells you best bits to visit on each site and tells you where to be and where to go for tickets. Highly recommend if you want a stress free day visiting Auschwitz.

Good factual information on the ghetto camps and the conditions

Good factual information on the ghetto camps and the living conditions of the inmates however there was very little information on Schindler himself and how he helped the Jews. Spent 2 1/2 hours without a tour guide which was sufficient time to see everything, however there is the option to go on an organised tour, but we felt this was not necessary as all the factual information, display books, artefacts and visual aids told you what happened. Can become busy at certain times of the day due to the sheer volume of people attending. Best to pre book to avoid the long queues and disappointment of it selling out as it’s a very popular tourist attraction.

Oskar Schindler's Factory and Museums Entry Ticket Reviewed by Anonymous, 08/28/2019

this is the most overwhelming site from the second world war

if you want to know the history of europe, the second world war or the holocaust then this is a must-see place. auschwitz ii (the birkenau site) is beyond belief for its site and when you see the remains of the baracks and gas chambers you can see for yourself the horrors that took place here. auschwitz i (the former polish army camp) is now a museum and there are buildings dedicated to the history the holocaust for many countries. the only place i can compare it to in terms of gravity and impact is the wannseekonferenz in berlin where the endlosung was planned by the nazis.

An interesting way to see the Schindler's Factory and Former Ghetto

We tried to book direct tickets for Schindler's Factory, but none were available so we took this tour. We were transported in an electric buggy for a short tour of the ghetto area before being dropped off at the factory. This would be useful for people who don't want to make their own way to the factory and also wanting a bit more in the way of context. Reasonably priced for what was on offer.
