Full description
Journey through the royal history of Poland on an audio guide tour of Wawel Cathedral on Wawel Hill. Marvel at the medieval castle walls and 12th-century Gothic church, considered a national sanctuary in Poland. Learn how the old church was destroyed several times and reconstructed in the 14th century to surpass its former glory.

Admire the most important sights of the cathedral and learn about significant events in the history of Poland. Then, go to the Sigismund Bell Tower to get up close to one of the largest church bell systems in Poland. Marvel at the bell that requires 12 bellringers to swing a single 30-ton bell, and get breathtaking views of Krakow Old Town and the oxbow of the Vistula River.

Proceed to the chapels and burial chambers of Polish leaders and monarchs. Admire artistic chapels sculpted in wood, marble and steel, and then spend some time in the John Paul II Cathedral Museum to see exhibits showing the connection of Pope John Paul II with Wawel Cathedral.
