Full description
The pharmacy of Tadeusz Pankiewicz was placed right in the middle of Krakow's Ghetto. Surrounded by walls, it was just an ordinary, inconspicuous pharmacy in the corner, although it witnessed some of the most tragic events of Krakow during World War II. The owner himself became the only non-Jewish inhabitant of the Ghetto.

In the ghetto, where the living conditions were inhumane, Pankiewicz's pharmacy was the only place where Jews could feel human kindness and help. At the time when helping Jews was considered a crime, he managed to escape death not once, but probably a dozen times. All this from his efforts to save as many lives as possible.

With this Eagle Pharmacy Museum ticket, you will have the opportunity to take a self guided tour through the museum, learning of the center's rich history and influence on the Ghetto during World War II. You will learn of individual recounts of encounters with Pankiewicz, whilst standing within the very walls that most of these stories occurred.
