What people are saying about Keukenhof
Easy pick up point in the central station. The gardens are amazing especially on a sunny day, so much to see. This bus has a fixed pick up time after 3 hours and we could have done with more time so it was annoying when we got on the bus only to be told we had to wait 15 mins for the driver's break. The bus was very hot on the return journey, the air con was not working. If going again I would look for a trip with flexible return times.
had to ask directions to find departure point. Recommend that guide in station have a more visible sign. Very hot on the bus and driver didn't seem to be able to adjust heat, so very uncomfortable trip. Easy to pick up bus for return trip, but longer walk from drop off in Amsterdam back to station. Difficult if you have mobility issues. Definitely recommend skip the line ticket and a visit to to the gardens.
The bus was very late arriving at our departure point. It was then held up for a long time by a traffic jam so we were very late arriving at the gardens, but this was somewhat compensated for by being allowed to stay beyond our scheduled departure time. However the bus was late picking us up to take us back to Amsterdam, which meant that we spent even more time hanging around waiting in the heat.
This was a great way for us to get to the Keukenhof Gardens from a central location. The staff at the tour company office was very helpful and broke down the timing and provided service. However, our bus guide failed to communicate that our receipts were our tickets into the gardens and the directions on this tour don't clearly communicate that you meet at the Tours and Tickets office.
Keukenhof is a well planned out and well, tended garden, with spectacular tulips of many kinds, as well as gorgeous hyacinths, magnolias, daffs, and a lovely lake and windmill. Great viewpoints to look out over the tulip fields from the edge of the garden.
