What people are saying about Kalabaka
We had a fantastic trip to Meteora. The pictures that you see online do not do justice to the area. You have to be there in person to appreciate it. The 5-hour train trip each way is a little rugged but it was well worth the experience. Our guide Chris did a great job is showing us as much as he could in the little time he had. If you go to Greece, you must go to Meteora.
Our guide Vassiles was amazing, very knowledgeable and kind. So was our driver. The view were breathtaking. Definitely the highlight of Athens for us!
A very good guided tour of Meteora and two monasteries. Our train was a bit late getting there but that's not GYG's fault. Our tour guide (forgot his name) was very good and informative and took great pictures! We really enjoyed our short time in Meteora and would recommend this activity despite the long train rides to and from Meteora.
Just awesome, there is no other description. Its a long train ride there - make sure you take food and drink as what's on the train is limited - but it was so worth it. We would have liked more time at the Great Monastery - so much to see there - but those are images and experiences that will live with us for a lifetime. If you have the option, go to Kalabaka and stay a couple of days - this will avoid the 10 hours on the train and give you more time to see the monasteries and just stand and take it all in.
The guide is not Coming with us to visit monastre’s metheoras and The price is very expensive, €50 for two people is too much.
