Abbondanza! A wonderful blend of food, wine, history and culture!

Warning: come hungry! Allessandra, our tour guide, brought us through the old and new Ghetto districts, explaining the origins and changes through history, and stopped at a bakery to pick up a sweet and savory unleavened pastry to start the food part of the tour. We then toured through winding streets and alleys, crossing many bridges in the Cannaregio district, on our giro d'ombra, stopping at 3 bacari to sample wine & cicchetti (don't call them tapas!). Then to a restaurant for wonderful pasta with (of course) more wine. Then on to a favorite gelateria near Campo di Santi Apostoli to end our tour. A delicious blend of food, wine, history and culture, hosted by a great tour guide, Allessandra, who kept us informed and entertained. Highly recommended - a great introduction to a side of Venice we never glimpsed on our first visit. Also a great value!

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide made the day

I have the fabulous Veronica as my tour guide for this wine and food tour of beautiful Jewish Ghetto and off the tourist path in Cannaregio neighborhood. We were introduced to lots of history of the area with great Kocher food, local Venetian wine, Cichetti and dinner. All around a worthwhile tour especially for me as first-timer in Venice. Saved me time, and I enjoyed the company (small group of 4). Meeting place was easy to find, directions was very clear. I would highly recommend this company and the tour to anyone who is new to Venice.

Brilliant experience mixing food and history!

My wife and I did this tour with Alessandra our guide and a few others. Tour was well organised and ran smoothly. We did not expect as much food as we received and were very full by the end it, so you definitely get your money’s worth according to us. Alessandra was extremely knowledgeable of the Ghetto and Venice in general and was very accommodating of all my questions! Would highly recommend.

Amazing tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide

We went on the tour with 4 little kids and we thought that we might need to leave a bit earlier because the kids might not make it though all 4 hours but the tour was so awesome that the kids didn’t want to leave. The restaurant choices for this tour are really great and the tour guide was super friendly and patient. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Lovely food and u go to local places. Also the guide Camilla whas good

Lovely foodtour u also get a walking tour into areas where u would never go alone but are verry interesting! Also the guide Miss Camilla is verry friendly and if u go the first day she gives good advice about where to go and how to get there. Urban Tours is the best!
