Full description
Delight in a half-day snowmobile adventure in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Learn how to lean into turns and shift your weight to stay on the trail as you go through gorgeous and varied landscapes. Choose between the option to ride a snowmobile alone or a package for 4 people involving 2 drivers and 2 passengers on 2 snowmobiles.

Meet your guide at the shop where the snowmobile suits, boots, and helmets are kept, and borrow what you need. If you have downhill ski clothing, that works for this activity as well. Once suited up, go to the trailhead where the machines are parked and receive instructions about operating your snowmobile.

Although the adventure begins on relatively flat terrain to allow you to become familiar with driving, don't expect a wide groomed road/trail for this adventure. The snow conditions and snow depths are a big influence. Once you've got the hang of driving, climb and descend, follow twists and turns, and go as fast as you are comfortable; you will gain confidence as the ride progresses. If conditions and abilities allow, there will be time to ride freely and play in open meadows.

Take a break and explore the site of the historic trapper's cabin, deep in the midst of the forest. The potbelly stove will be lit, water warmed for drinks, and snacks readied for your arrival there. Here, relax, chat, and soak in the pristine and remote surroundings. Learn about the history of the cabin and the area, and hear stories of adventures and secrets.

Prior to heading back, enjoy a special treat feeding the wild birds that frequent the cabin area. They will alight on your hands and take food if you are still. Then, continue your trip and return to the trail head. The trail may be the same but it will have a new look going a different direction. Finally, travel the short distance to the shop where you can return any gear you have used.
