Full description
Make the most of your trip to Inverness and visit the history-rich Brodie Castle, nestled at the heart of acres of gentle Moray countryside. The current castle was the ancestral home of the Brodie Clan for over 400 years, although their family seat has been here since the 12th century and it has been suggested that the castle you see today contains elements dating back as far as this.

Spend the day exploring this fascinating site, and see how changing times have altered the castle’s shape and purpose. See the impenetrable 16th century guard chamber, that is flanked on one side by a cozy 17th century wing and a sprawling Victorian extension on the other. As you wander through the lavish castle rooms, admire the magnificent assortment of furniture, ceramics, and artworks that are housed here. Don’t forget to stop by the castle library, which boasts an impressive collection of over 6,000 volumes.

Outside, soak up the glorious Scottish countryside in the vast surrounding castle gardens where you can find over 400 varieties daffodil. You can also stop by the Playful Garden, for an additional fee, which is full of excitement for the whole family.
