What people are saying about Goethe Statue, Villa Borghese
The gallery isn't just like any other attraction in Rome where you can just walk in and line up for tickets. But when you do get in, it's definitely worth it. You might end up a little overwhelmed by the sculptures and paintings especially if you are not familiar with the artists who did them as well as the story behind the villa itself; a little research can make things even more interesting.
The art was remarkable and the grounds interesting. A bit of a long walk and then your on your own for getting back or onward luckily Rome has many taxi' s & buses so it's navigable. The morning tour was airy but the next showing had a line forever. Best to go early.
Consider hiring a bike at the end of the tour if you want to see the full extent of the surrounding gardens and visit the highest point for a view over Rome. Guide Christina was very informative and a lovely lady. It was a good thing we had booked our skip-the-line tour early - they were booked out on the day of our tour.
Our guide was well versed and eloquent. She was very entertaining and made the presentation alive and informative.
Guide has excellent knowledge of the itinerary and makes the tour well worth the 3 hours of walking
