What people are saying about Fort William
We loved the tour, everything about it was amazing. From the breathtaking views of the highlands and Glencoe, to the Loch Ness cruise and Uquhart Castle, it was an amazing day. You're in the bus for about 8 hours, but you get out every couple of hours so it's not that bad. We loved taking pictures of the mountains and scenery, even though they don't do it justice. Words can't describe the views in front of your eyes. The quick stop in Pitlochry was nice too at the end of the day before returning to Edinburgh. We didn't have much time for lunch, but we had read some reviews before and packed our own lunch so we wouldn't have to worry about waiting in a long line and barely having enough time to scarf down our food before getting back on the bus. Finally, our tour guide Barbara was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable about the places we were going to and the areas we travelled through, as well Scottish history. She even taught us some Gaelic words. I'd highly recommend this tour.
This is a lovely tour with the most breathtaking scenery. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable. However clients need to be aware that there is an extra cost involved if you want to travel on the ferry on the Lochness. This is not advertised. Please carry cash with you,I think it was £15 per adult & £9 per child. Also we were told by email that it would be a short 5 minute walk from our hotel which was The Double Tree Hilton to the pick up point which was the Marriott hotel. When I asked the concierge the night before the tour to direct us she laughed & said the tour operator was mistaken ,it was approximately 15 minutes by car. We hired a taxi.If you are staying around that area give yourself 15-20 minutes to get to the Marriott hotel depending on the traffic. Our bus driver was kind enough to drop us off at our hotel after the tour as it ends quite late
I thought I had booked for a small group tour. The big coach driver, Jason was excellent, the guide John was excellent. It was not their fault that teenagers with limited English and limited interest in Scotland’s highlands, basically, “ ruled” the coach.
Our tour guide Gary was amazing! He had the perfect mixture of humor and interesting facts about Scottish history. He was a great driver and conversationalist. Would greatly recommend!
Had the greatest of times our host/driver Robbie was very knowledgeable and a good laugh. Our b&b was very clean and breakfast was ideal I would definitely recommend this trip.
