Full description
Your visit to Flamingo Gardens will be filled with intrigue and excitement as you relax in this tropical paradise. Spend a few hours or spend the day, there will be beauty and excitement around every corner.

The Everglades wildlife sanctuary is home to the largest collection of Florida native wildlife and includes alligators, bobcats, otters, eagles, panthers, peacocks and, of course, flamingos! It is residence to over 90 species of birds and animals, most of which are permanently injured and/or non-releasable.

The Wray botanical collection stretches across 60 acres with over 3,000 species or rare and exotic, tropical, subtropical and native plants.  It features 20 of the largest trees of their species including the largest tree in the state as certified by the Florida Forestry service.  Specialized gardens include the Butterfly, Hummingbird, Bromeliad and Croton Gardens.

Your tour includes a narrated tram tour through a tropical rainforest, wetlands and some of the last natural jungle growth in Florida.  Learn about the plants, wildlife and history of Flamingo Gardens. Both informative and fun, live presentations feature Florida native wildlife from the sanctuary and explain their relationship with the environment. You can also visit the Wray Home Museum, built in 1933, providing a glimpse of life in South Florida in the 1930's.
