What people are saying about Esplanade des Invalides
One stop was near our hotel so we got a 2 day pass and took the boat to many places we wanted to visit. Fortunately the weather was perfect so we were able to do a lot of walking and mapped our routes accordingly. Very few taxis needed. Visited museums, a few sites and just got lost in beautiful neighborhoods. Found our way back and hopped back on to do it again. Met a family from California who were just taking it to relax for a few hours, take some pics and figure out where they wanted to go during their stay in Paris. This is a must for every trip to this beautiful city.
The BatoBoat is a great option for those who like to walk and ride. We used it as a tram to get to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre and to just relax and sightsee on the river. It runs every 20 minutes from 10 AM to 9:30 PM. I would really like to see an option that runs at night, say till midnight. The ticket stations are built into the wall on the side of the river and may be hard to spot. Once we found it we got our tickets no problem, remember to bring photo ID (does not have to be a passport).
The Batobus concept is brilliant - think Hop On Hop Off but on water. The locations of piers are very close to the landmarks, and a tourist can easily see all the major attractions in a day using the water shuttle as a means of transport. Great value for money as tickets are cover a whole day. The boats are clean and offer ample seating. The guide points out major landmarks en route, but what would give the experience 5 stars is an audio guide. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Paris.
Fantastic value for money. Super easy to hop on and off the boat at 8 famous sights of gorgeous Paris and the ticket is valid for 24 hours, so I was able to spend a splendid time on the Seine on an afternoon and the next morning with some shopping on the Champs Elysee on between. The staff members were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Highly recommend a trip on the Batoboat.
This was brilliant for sitting and watching Paris go by along the river Seine as well as getting you from one area of city to another without walking or taking the metro. Very reasonable, the staff were very helpful and professional, and there always seemed to be a batobus coming along every 10 mins or so, so didn't have to wait long. We used it over 2 days.
