Find the Best Place to See the Eiffel Tower

A glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, outlined romantically against the Paris skyline — that's what you remember after visiting France. If you're looking to photograph Paris to your heart's content, use our short list of great spots in the city to get that breathtaking view (and picture).

Trocadero

To see the Eiffel Tower light show at night, the Trocadero is one of your best location choices. Bonus: the Trocadero is free, and always open.

Arc de Triomphe

You need to climb the 284 steps of the Arc de Triomphe to reach the top of this other famous Paris monument, where you’ll be rewarded by one of the most spectacular views in the city.

Montparnasse

This 689-foot skyscraper may not be a beautiful building, but the views are worth it. In the Montparnasse Tower you get the second highest view after the Eiffel Tower and 360-degree vistas.

From the Hotel Raphael

Looking for a romantic Paris date spot? Make a reservation for the terrace at this luxury hotel. Soak in the view, enjoy some champagne, and watch the sunset from the top.

Pont de Bir-Hakeim

Pont de Bir-Hakeim connects the 15th and 16th arrondissements. This famous bridge offers stunning views of the tower and the Seine—a popular spot for photographers.

Eiffel Tower: Our Tips

Avoiding the queues

As you know, Paris is quite the popular holiday destination. Plan ahead if you want to jump around and see the Eiffel Tower from lots of angles. It's easy to buy tickets online and go straight to the top -- but if you're looking to do Paris on the cheap, remember to plan waiting time at major monuments into your itinerary.

Watch your stuff

Lots of travelers are looking for a cafe or restaurant nearby these views, where they can relax and regroup away from the crowds. While all the major tourist areas are safe enough, tourists tend to let their guard down as soon as they order a café au lait. As always, zip up your purse and watch out for thieves.

Eiffel tower opening hours

If you decide to get up close and personal with the Tower itself, it's conveniently open 365 days a year. From mid-June to early September, opening hours are from 9:00AM to midnight. During the rest of the year, from 9:30AM to 11:00PM.

What People Are Saying About Eiffel Tower

I enjoyed the trip with pleasant, well behaved and knowledgeable guide

I should have given more time for the trip to Peris, but due to time constraint, I could limit it for 3 hours. Next time I will certainly come with enough time.

Skip the line - very necessary these days.

All went very well. Meeting point easy to find. Friendly and competent tour guide. Skipping the endless line to enter is these days very necessary if you want to avoid 5+ hours waiting time. All in all very professional and enjoyable.

Our guide was on time and we skipped the queues as promised.

We had not booked our tickets in advance, found this website on google and booked the tickets only 2 days before. No problem with the service.

Eiffel tower and Louvre were great but Boat trip was not worth it

We had a great guide, interesting stories about Paris and France! Eiffeltower and Louvre were fantastic! Boat trip was not good, too crowded, no atmosphere at all, except mass tourism....

Excellent and quick access to the Eiffel Tower!

The regular line was too long. Probably 2-3 hours. We were so happy to have these tickets to go up to the Eiffel Tower. Highly recommend it. We were up in less than 10-15 minutes, once we were done with security check. Amazing!
