What people are saying about Edinburgh Zoo
Family of 4 with 2 young children had a great day out at the zoo. Some animals in hiding but saw lots and highlight was seeing the pandas at close range. Wonderful. The zoo looks really good and we would return next year. Thought it very poor that taking the little bus to the top would have cost us nearly £10 on top of our entry fee of £53.
The land is huge with lots of hills so you definitely need to have a pair of comfortable walking shoes when you visit the zoo. As it was in the afternoon, most of the animals were sleeping and some of the other animals were not at sight in the enclosure which made me a little disheartened.
the zoo and facilities were clean and animals looked healthy and happy. the zoo however is located on a very steep hill making some of the animals up a steep climb. I have mobility issues so this meant I gave up climbing the hill due to pain and missed out on seeing the big cats .
The kids enjoyed their amday out although there was quite a lot of closed and enclosures unavailable but thems the breaks when you visit a zoo I guess !
This was an excellent day out. Very informative about animals and conservation. Great attention to animal welfare. Good disabled access.
