Full description
Leave Edinburgh and head west to the ‘Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond’ where you'll take time at Balmaha to admire views of Ben Lomond. You'll get the chance to go on a woodland walk to get some great views of the Loch.

The afternoon is spent exploring Stirling. Discover impressive Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s most important structures both historically and architecturally. Many have been crowned at Stirling Castle, including Mary Queen of Scots, and it was central to William Wallace’s and Robert the Bruce's fight in the Wars of Independence. Alternatively, explore historic Stirling, geographically one of the most significant towns in Scottish history.

On your return to Edinburgh you'll have the chance to visit and marvel at the stunning Kelpies, the world's largest equine sculptures dedicated to the horse powered heritage of Central Scotland, designed by Andy Scott. Finally, return to Edinburgh by early evening.

Super cool excursion!

Very nice excursion, tour guide Angus told us a lot about the history and the area. We would have loved half an hour longer to enjoy the beautiful Loch Lomond, what a beautiful lake, what a view! The apple-cinnamon scones there were indeed delicious, would have preferred to enjoy them a bit longer / quieter. Stirling Castle is beautiful!

Seen a lot, super informed, very spontaneous

Despite the need to make changes to the plan at short notice due to the Queen's almost parallel program, we saw everything. The driver, Rich, briefly extended the tour by an hour. So that we could still go to Stirling Castle. Despite the Scottish accent, comments while driving were easy to understand and both informative and entertaining. One had the impression that what he said is important to him. We recommend.

Nice landscape overview

The tour was very interesting, as some historical background information was also passed on. Unfortunately, the weather played a limited role. The guide was very nice, however we were not asked for an audio guide and it was sometimes very difficult to always follow and understand the explanations with Scottish dialect.
