Day 1

From Edinburgh you will head west where your first stop will be at the picturesque conservation village of Luss, on the ‘Bonny, Bonny’ banks of Loch Lomond.

Travelling north via Tyndrum you will pass over the atmospheric Rannoch Moor before enjoying time to walk and admire the dramatic Glencoe valley, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan.

After lunch in the Fort William area, your tour will pause for photos at Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, then stop to admire Glen Garry and the stunning Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range.

Your first day ends in the charming village of Portree, on the Isle of Skye.

Day 2

After breakfast your will depart Portree for a full day’s touring - options include Dunvegan Castle, or a trip to Uig and a visit to Flora MacDonald’s grave and the unique Black Houses, ancient dwellings of the Scottish Highlanders.

Other options include viewing Duntulum Castle, enjoying breathtaking views of Kilt Rock or perhaps a bracing walk at the Lealt Falls.

The day will end with the opportunity to admire the Old Man of Storr, before returning to Portree.

Day 3

You will commence your final day of the tour via the much-admired Eilean Donan Castle, backdrop for the movie, ‘Highlander’; (interior closed in winter) then move on to the pretty loch-side village of Fort Augustus for lunch and views of Loch Ness.

The tour continues south over Laggan and the Grampian mountains with the last stop, for refreshments, in the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, before returning to Edinburgh, where the tour will end.

Great tour where you can see a lot of Scotland. This involves a lot of travel time, but our guide told many interesting stories. So it was entertaining. The only thing that was a shame was the detour via Glasgow, where we picked up other travelers. We missed 2 castles.

ONE WORD: AMAZING

5 stars just because I can't give 6. Our driver and guide Callum was great and managed to show us all the beauty of the Highlands and isle of Skye, managing a group of almost 20 people in an impeccable way, with such time efficiency that we were able to see even more stuff with respect to what the brochure promised. His contribution also included tips and advice to enjoy local restaurants and attractions the area had to offer. Regarding the visit itself, I can just tell you I've so fallen in love with the isle of Skye, that I'm seriously thinking about going there once a year for a short retreat. Absolutely, totally, enthusiastically recommended.

Let's just get the obvious thing out of the way, Skye is incredible and no picture will give it justice. However when it comes to the tour it was amazing as well, our guide Martin was incredible and engaging, and most importantly always on time, the only issue we had is that the B&B reservations were mixed up. We were a group of 3 and were supposed to be booked in the same B&B. However the split us into two different B&Bs. And my two friends had to stay in two different B&Bs in two different days. However Martin made it a smooth transition and it helped that we were traveling light. Over all an amazing experience and highly recommende it. However it would be a much better experience if it was a five days tour so you can be even more flexible with the time.
