Full description
Experience some of the most beautiful scenery on the Emerald Isle on this half-day tour to the Wicklow Mountains National Park.

Departing from Dublin Connolly station at 09:40, you will head towards the town of Arklow. The train will take you south along the coastline, with the chance to enjoy the magnificent seascapes for much of the trip toward Wicklow town.

From there, swing inland toward the mountains, where you will see panoramic views of the beautiful Irish countryside.

At Arklow, join a touring coach for a journey through the Vale of Avoca, toward the village of Avoca.

Get to know this lovely town, also known as Ballykissangel, and see the local hand weavers at work, or drop into FitzGerald’s Bar for a typical Irish pint.

From there, you will continue with a visit to the ancient monastic settlement in stunning Glendalough, at the foot of Wicklow Mountains National Park. See the remarkable remains of this medieval monastery, first established in the 6th century.

The tour returns by train to Dublin Connolly station, arriving at approximately 16:45.

Nice tour for half a day

We had two very nice tour guides. The first one picked us up at the station and accompanied us on the train. The second picked us up in Arklow and did the rest of the tour. Since we were only 4 travelers, the taxi ride continued. The small group was just great. You could have a nice chat, got a lot of information and the time went by in a flash. The scenery was wonderful and we would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to discover the Irish countryside around Dublin.

Great trip!

Three nice old Irish men (one guide, 2 'trainees') showed us the beauty of the Wicklow Mountains. It was really entertaining and informative- we had a lot of fun! The weaving mill was great. They have very lovely handmade things, so you should bring a lot of money with you...!

Very lovely tour, unfortunately we had bad weather.

Lovely train ride along the coast and later we rode on the bus into the mountains. As advertised the tour guide only spoke English, but he made a big effort for us, so we still got to learn lots of interesting things about the country and the people. Unfortunately the weather was bad. I thoroughly recommend the tour for those who wanted to see more than just Dublin during their short vacation.
