Charlottenburg Palace: Tour Highlights

The history of the Schloss runs deep. It began as the summer palace of King Friederich III's wife Sophie Charlotte. Today it’s the grandest palace you’ll find in Berlin. Worth a visit all year round, it is especially magical at Christmas market season.

A nice cruise down the Spree river and covers most of the main attractions in Berlin on the riverside. Drinks were provided for a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and even though I didn’t speak German did their best to help me out. Boat was punctual and arrived back at the drop off point with time to spare. One criticism is they only had commentary available in German which they played on loudspeaker. Maybe a better way would be to give guests individual headphones and give them the option of commentary in different languages, as many other boat services or tour buses do.

I didn’t notice the tour was commentated in German so I spent the first quarter of the trip not understanding what was going on. I then realized you could rent an audio translator which really helped. The tour winds through the city and also some park areas. It was a nice way to see the area. Plus you can enjoy drinks during the voyage. :)

The cooperatation with other bus transfer programs was very helpful as we could see all the sites with shorter time, all audios were in function. The team were very kind and helpful, only the meeting point @ Aleksander place was not good defined as was mentioned beside Holiday Inn and it was more near to Park Inn

Woanders hätte man gesagt, Pech gehabt. So macht es im Urlaub Spaß, wenn Probleme lösbar sind.

Wonderful your for the family. the staff was friendly, and our English audio guides that were selected at the time of booking were waiting for us, and they worked fine. part of the tour was up and back, and then we made a circle through the city past Charlottenburg Palace. I would definitely recommend!
