I went to the tower in the evening and the views were fabulous. It was great to be able to walk all the way around, the queues were short and it wasn’t crowded. It was also great being able to have a cup of coffee and snacks up at the top whilst watching the view. I left my iPad up on the observation deck and was obviously very concerned when I got to the bottom of the tower that I had lost it for good, but when I went back in the staff at the bottom were really helpful and said they’d send me back up where my iPad was waiting with a member of staff. I got it back and was very encouraged that they asked me to put in my password in to make sure I was the owner, which I did. It was very reassuring to know that they wouldn’t have let just anyone take it. Avery pleasant evening out, a great attraction and really helpful staff.. what more could a tourist ask for?
Everything was great, we had a really good time with my partner. Only one negative thing... the food... In the name of 'Fancy kitchen,' there is basically nothing in your plate to make it looks like Art... We eventually laughed when we saw coming the 'Floating Island' which wasn't floating at all... a drop of cream (literally), 3 small pieces of poached meringue... I'm not saying the food wasn't good, it was, but not fantastic and clearly not enough... It was a birthday gift and we really appreciated but if I have to go again, I'd probably not eat there.
Wish there had been at least 3 to 4 scallops instead of 2 sitting in the biggest plate you can have, my partners fish was so dry he used what sauce was there to be able to eat it as he didn't want to complain as I took him there for our 25th Anniversary and didn't want to upset me, however the waiter asked him how his meal was so he told them and they offered to cook another one, but due to time he said no so they offered a free drink. Dessert was nice and staff very friendly.
the experience was enjoyable - there was plenty of room to take your time walking the 360 degrees around the level taking in all the sites. a small counter at the top selling snacks, drinks and the experience to go outside and walk around the top of the tower. The 3D 5 min cinema movie that was part of the experience before you go up in the lift was entertaining as well.
My very first time in Sydney Tower. Perfect way to celebrate a birthday. We were even treated to seeing two cruise boats leave the harbor and a rainbow right in front of us at one point, and it looked like it was touching a crane that was on a building site.
