What people are saying about Caserta City
This was the first time back in more than twenty years. Everything has improved considerably: parking, gardens out front, ticketing and hospitality (good tavola calda, although seating area could be a bit larger), restrooms and benches along the way to the top, shuttle service and even, still, horse drawn carriages. Employees seem to be much more friendly and engaged this time. One negative: a lady behind ticketing desk puffing away on her e-cigarette. But the whole, the outside park and the royal palace were impressive and memorable.
Lots to see in the palace and beautiful gardens to walk in after, try walking to the waterfall at the end of the garden and if necessary catch the bus back to the palace. Plenty of underground parking on site but be careful as our GPS took us on a lap of the City which was quite unnecessary.
Very convenient. I just showed them confirmation from my iPhone and we were immediately issued our entrance tickets. Management just need to start cleaning the Palace. Dust was so thick We we’re sneezing the whole time.
The Royal Palace of Caserta was a huge surprise. It rivals the Palace of Versailles and is a magnificent piece of architecture which is a credit to those who have restored it to its former glory.
Excellent pass that kept our costs down. Only gripe is that you have to get a physical card rather than an e version.
