What people are saying about Burano

Enough time in both places and great to explore the islands

It was nice and easy to meet at the meet-up point, a bit difficult to follow the tour guide to the boat as there were a lot of people all walking in different directions - busy part of Venice. Once at the boat she checked through all the different languages and was very good at speaking with everyone. We all got on the boat and had a smooth ride over to Murano. The tour guide told us the plan and the time to be back at the boat. We went in to a glass blowing factory and watched the amazing demonstration of a man making a vase and a horse out of glass, we then went through to a little gift shop. I took a walk down the main street to take some photographs and then headed back to the boat. We then went on to Burano, I personally think 1.5 hours is plenty of time to spend on this island, it's easy to walk around the whole thing in that time and is very busy. Overall I'm so pleased to have done it. Nice break away from Venice to see more.

Great if you don’t want to follow a big tour

The meeting point was near Hotel Danieli. Got tickets for trip from yellow cart. Had to walk right down to the Hotel Gabrielli another 15 minute walk not easy with about 60 people following a lady with an umbrella fighting through a very crowded area. Murano Glass Museum blowing was really interesting had a look around the shop and went outside, found a shop selling small Murano pieces starting fro €1 we bought a medium glass xmas tree and a small gondola and 6 €1 pieces for presents all for €22. On to Burano we had an hour and half took a few pictures hen found a restaurant from lunch, very slow service in the restaurant so couldn’t see all of the island. This tour is great for a quick glance of both islands would have enjoyed maybe another half hour on Burano. You can not be late back to the boat we were pulling away from dock a family only just made it

A wonderful way to see another part of Italy!

The boat trip was lovely - cool(ish) breeze on one of the hottest days of our stay. Easy to check in, and we waited in the shade until our Guide arrived and walked us along the quay to the waiting boat. Our Guide was excellent and took good care of us during our time on both the islands. Bit disappointed in the length of the glass blowing demo as it only really lasted 10 minutes in total and we were hoping for some explanation about how the colour was added etc. The timing on each island is just about right as it was very hot and so walking around for any longer would have been too much. Would recommend!

Fantastic excursion to explore the other islands a little.

Well organised. The live commentary was good to understand. Beautiful shop on Murano with great opportunity to buy some really beautiful affordable items. Passing bu other islands with some commentary on what they are. On Butanol we had more time and cou”d either visit lave making place or have fantastic seafood in one of the many places.

Burano was the better location by far but overall a good tour

Murano is an interesting island and the glass factory was a good visit but burano is by far the more beautiful location. If you want to have food during the tour , I'd recommend skipping the food in murano in favour of burano!
