What people are saying about Bologna
Such a great experience for your first day in the city! A really useful map is handed over with all landmarks pointed out and all food for the day included with vouchers. We had wine, gelato, 2 course lunch and even local appetisers to taste all at different places around the city. You first meet a tour rep to receive your map and vouchers, where we sat with Sonia for over an hour having coffee. She told us all her favourite places and even shared a great recipe for Carbonara! Highly recommend.
“Tasting” is just a fried bologna sandwich and a scoop of ice cream. It wasn’t bad, but I was expecting more from a “tasting.” Also, it was not clear that I was purchasing a tasting. I just wanted tickets to the tower. Instructions were not clear as to where to meet. Fortunately, I had no problems. I enjoyed the towers, but the tour could have been executed better.
Our tour guide Laura was very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the history of Bologna and the churches and university buildings we visited. A particular highlight was the medical amphitheatre at the university. I highly recommend this your for anyone interested in exploring Bologna’s historical centre.
I am so lucky to get to this place with a Train tour. Very well organized, the amazing road to Basilica, and the biggest bonus is the view from the top hill from the San Luca! Must see! Very appreciated to the Tour Organization! Thanks a million! :)
We had a private tour. Our guide was just great, extremely knowledgeable and caring; she had time for us and never rushed us. We learnt a lot and had a great time with her. We highly recommend.
