Full description
Going down to a depth of 176 meters, discover the history of salt excavation in this region. All the qualities of the Bochnia Salt Mine were finally appreciated on a global scale on June 23, 2013, when it was officially included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

After descending to the mine by a traditional mining shaft, take a narrow-gauge railway ride to visit the Underground Multimedia Exposition, which will take you on a journey back in time to the era of the first Polish kings. Then, begin exploring the Ważyn Chamber.

The tourist route is composed of the most breathtaking chambers and galleries with unique shapes and geological structures. These include the most famous Mysiur Stables and Saint Kinga’s Chapel. Kinga's Chapel is one of the most well-preserved and largest chapels in the Bochnia Salt Mine, sitting at a depth of 212 meters below ground. Following your experience, return to the surface by the same mining shafts.
