Full description
Begin your day by going directly to the town of Hernani from your hotel in the center of Bilbao. Receive a brief introduction about the life of the sculptor, Eduardo Cillida, known for his works in iron and concrete. Then, enjoy a free 1-hour visit to the Chillida-Leku Museum, and admire the artist's works in the gardens that surround them.
Later, move on to Astigarraga, a town famous for its Basque cider tradition. Take a guided tour of the Cider Museum to discover the culture of cider, a hallmark of the Basques. Conduct a tasting through the fun Txotx rite, where the cider is served directly from the kupela or barrel.
After lunch, continue to San Sebastian, the "Pearl of the Cantabric." Explore the Old Town on a guided tour, and enjoy some free time for shopping. Marvel at a magnificent panoramic view from Mount Igeldo (ascent included), and take some photographs before returning to Bilbao mid-afternoon.
