Planning Your Visit

What else do I get?

The Berlin WelcomeCard offers holders free travel across public transport networks, as well as discounts at museums, theaters, and almost 200 other attractions. Holders are also treated to discounts at selected restaurants, spas, and on a variety of tours.

What about Museum Island?

The museums on Museum Island aren't included on the standard Berlin WelcomeCard, but visitors can purchase the extended Berlin WelcomeCard Museum Island for additional free access to all five museums on the island (Ancient National Gallery, Ancient Museum, Bode Museum, New Museum, and Pergamon Museum). There is also the Museum Pass Berlin, which allows free access to 50 museums including Museum Island, but this does not include the other WelcomeCard benefits.

What People Are Saying about Berlin

really good option, we only used it for public transport.

Was great for using public transport - hassle free and good value. We didn't use it for anything else.

A very useful card to have for a visit to Berlin.

The card was a great buy, one off purchase so you do not have to be struggling to figure out ticket machine purchases for trains etc. Also some nice discounts on attractions around the city.

Great savings on travel and entrance to attractions.

The Berlin Welcome Card provided us with great information, resources and discount to travel and visitor attractions. Easy to use and to book, and we liked the map and little guide book that comes with the Welcome Card.

The WelcomeCard was well worth it and very easy to use!

Loved how convenient picking it up was (picked up at Tegel airport) with simple activation on our first bus into the city. Almost every museum we went to gave us a discount for it which was amazing, we didn't need to pre-select attractions. Also the included transit pass was also definitely convenient, we didn't need to buy tickets ever which was amazing! Highly recommend!

Easy to obtain - give complete freedom of use on public transport

Obtained card on line prior to visit. It was easy to obtain and validate at airport on arrival. It must only be validated once - if you validate the card again it becomes void. Discounts available on range of tourist attractions. Great value for money if you wish to explore Berlin. Need Zone C (in addition to Zones A and B) if you with to use from/to airport, Potsdam, etc.
