What people are saying about Auschwitz I

Reliable, accommodating and professional full-day experience.

Doing both Auschwitz & Salt Mine Tour makes for a long, yet maximally utilised day. The lunch box is great though you only receive it at lunch time and can't snack on anything before. Consider taking something small for the drive/tea time or asking for the lunch box earlier (drivers are very accommodating). In April 2019 our lunch box included 1 bottle of water, 2 fruit, 2 savoury and 2 sweet items which proved to be ample. Due to the limited time and long queues at Auschwitz-Birkenau, making use of the restroom is almost impossible. Additionally, one has to pay 2 Polish złoty to do so - everywhere! Instead, our driver, Peter, was kind enough to stop at a filling station at our request to make use of the restroom (after completing the entire Auschwitz part of the tour) before returning to Krakow. From Krakow, the journey to the Salt Mine starts - the entire experience here is mesmerising! Also, the restrooms are free of charge. Wear good shoes for ample walking. Overall -great day!

Small guided tour to Auschwitz & Birkenau

The meeting point was easy to find and in the old town. The tour is as described. It was one of the most emotional tour I ever did. Once in Auschwitz the guide lead us through the camp and we entered some of the building complexes. It was a very busy day, so expect to find more groups. After Auschwitz we headed to Birkenau, which was not too far. Take your time and pay your respects to the victims. This is not your typical tour, so in some places it's not allowed to take photos. The tour will take up to 7 hours, so be sure to take a bite to eat. The driver was nice and provided us with still water. Overall, I recommend doing this tour.

Auschwitz and Birkenau Tour with Licensed Guide Reviewed by Mireille, 04/17/2019

Our guide was excellent, very informative and objective.

Don’t be put off by the large crowds because the timing of groups was well spaced and very well organised. Our guide was excellent. Auschwitz was stunning in it’s grimness, bringing tears to the eyes at the sheer brutality of it’s history. Birkenau likewise but differentiated by it’s enormous size and bleakness.

Excellent service and the tour guide was very knowledgable.

Recently toured Auschwizt-Birkenau. The service provided was excellent, kept us informed as to a pick-up time. The tour guide was both friendly and knowledgeable. Disappointed the Birkenau tour was shorter than normal, understand the reason for this decision, due high temperature.

Everyone should visit once in their life!

A truly sobering account of man’s inhumanity to man. This is the epitome of terror and evil abounds. It is difficult to reconcile that these acts were committed by fellow human beings - and we still don’t learn from our past mistakes!
