For many years Syngrou Avenue has led travelers and locals from Athens to Faliron. The avenue follows the same route as the ancient street Faliriki Odos and connects the city of Athens to its commercial port, Faliron.  At either side of the modern avenue are located two of Greece's most important cultural institutions: the Onassis Cultural Center and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

You will marvel the brand new and highly praised Niarchos Foundation premises, which will soon be home to the new opera house and national library.  At Faliron you will stroll by the sea and admire Averof, the early 20th century battleship that participated in both World Wars and a replica of an ancient Greek trireme.
