Full description
For many years Syngrou Avenue has led travelers and locals from Athens to Faliron. The avenue follows the same route as the ancient street Faliriki Odos and connects the city of Athens to its commercial port, Faliron.  At either side of the modern avenue are located two of Greece's most important cultural institutions: the Onassis Cultural Center and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

On this tour you will learn the long history of Greek shipping heritage and hear the success stories of Aristotle Onassis and Stavros Niarchos, the world famous shipping tycoons.

You will marvel the brand new and highly praised Niarchos Foundation premises, which will soon be home to the new opera house and national library.  At Faliron you will stroll by the sea and admire Averofthe early 20th century battleship that participated in both World Wars and a replica of an ancient Greek trireme.
