Full description
This full-day tour from Flagstaff or Sedona takes you to the remarkable ruins of Wupatki, where the ancient Sinagua civilization once lived before mysteriously vanishing without trace. These ancient desert dwellers were the only ones who witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano a millennium ago.

Learn about the eruption as you visit fields of lava that look like they flowed yesterday. Your expert guide will be happy to answer any questions and help uncover the mysteries of this magical landscape.

Pause for lunch in the historic dining room of the Cameron Trading Post.  Then venture into the Grand Canyon National Park with your wonderful guide, who will take you to the best vistas available. You will enjoy stupendous views of the East and South Rims.

You will be picked up and dropped off at your Flagstaff or Sedona hotel, with first class travel to and from the Canyon. Enjoy the comfort of a reclining captain chair with large windows for excellent views of the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Your expert guides know the area inside and out and will show you the canyon in a better light, teaching you everything you need to know about the 2 billion years of history that helped carve this immense chasm.

Steve was an exceptional guide being very knowledgeable on all aspects of the tour. He went out of his way to make sure everyone had a wonderful time including knowing where to take fun pictures. I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this fabulous excursion to the Grand Canyon and other monuments with Steve.

Rick was an amazing guide on a great tour.

Tour guide Rick was very thorough and thoughtful. He was ahead of all the details and questions, and helped at every aspect of the trip, not only seeing the sights from the best places, but also maximizing souvenir acquisition and food selection. Rick was a wealth of knowledge and a very trustworthy and safe driver. The tour was also well planned and smartly timed, with interesting stops each with enough but not too much time. We highly recommend this trip.

A wonderful experience!

Our guide was Andrea Corral and she is an excellent tour guide. She gave us a very informative history of the Hopi Indians and their culture as well as geological information about the area we were traveling through. The lunch at the Cameron restaurant was wonderful, and the trip to the Grand Canyon was breath-taking. We especially enjoyed being able to stop and enjoy views of the canyon at several different locations.
