Peter’s (skipper) commentary was entertaining, most informative (even for seasoned Melbournians) and educational. For international tourists his larconic humour typifies an important aspect of Australian true blue humour - essential to understanding this great nation: its innovation, capacity to creatively blend so many originating cultures, and it’s sense of a fair go for all and not taking any “authority” too seriously. Especially politicians, bureaucrats and developers! Highly recommended for locals, visitors from interstate and overseas. Well done Skipper! Even the obligatory safety announcements got our attention. Great value for your $ ... and you can take your own drinks and snacks onboard.
Also the boat went further up the river where the scenery contrasted and was beautiful. I hope you will continue for a long time. I have recommended you to many others. I gave one of your brochures to a man who would like to enjoy the experience with his wife. When I return to Melbourne I would definitely like to come aboard and enjoy it again.
This tour taught me so much about the history of Melbourne, while also showing the hidden gems in the Arcades and Lanes. A stop for chocolate and coffee, along with a beautiful lunch just made this tour even more special. Highly recommend!!
