This really packed a lot into one day. Like many places in Israel, the sites were churches built on the site where something is said to have happened (e.g., the annunciation, Joseph's carpenter shop, the miracle of the loaves and fishes). So it was visiting a lot of churches (4 if I remember right). We stopped for lunch at a packed restaurant with a parking lot full of tour busses. The Jordan River site was equally packed. A positive was the beautiful scenery driving by the Sea of Galilee. Also, the tour was very well run and organized. Just know that there are a lot of crowds (not the tour group's fault) and mostly visiting churches.
The tour guide was ok. It is worth to visit Nazaret, Capernaum once in a lifetime, but it is not real I think! People hundreds of years ago built some temple somewhere and the told us that was the house of Maria or Jozef, etc, but is is not real I think. If you want to see real things go to Jerusalem: Western Wall, Western Wall Tunnel, City of David, Siloam, Bethesda. Massada.
The tour was awesome...especially the guide sivan did great...it was a little bit hassle at the end, because other tourist didn’t settle for the meeting time at the bus... tour very informative..
Our guide Orliv is very knowledgeable. He introduced each place with detailed information. The programme is also well planned. It was indeed enjoyable.
We had 5 days in Israel and we used them to the fullest. We saw so much but still only a taste of what Israel has to offer. Definitely going back.
