What people are saying about Vienna

Nothing too exciting but an insight of how the horses are cared for

We visited the stables after we had seen the show, there was a wait in the main entrance where other people were also queuing up for other events so it got busy at times. We were grouped with a good English speaking guide and taken into the arena and then around the main stable block, we were asked NOT to take photos and were only permitted to in the tack room. We were able to see the horses feed in their individual stables and the guide gave us a brief commentary about the horses answering questions as we walked through, you kind of got the feeling that we were in the way as the grooms were trying to go about their daily routine with groups of people standing around. Under no circumstances were you allowed to touch the horses, but the experience overall was interesting and informative.

Vienna Spanish Riding School Guided Tour Reviewed by Caroline, 09/10/2019

Classic castle, super gardens, great guide'

Very good arrangements from start to finish, and we were generally well satisfied with everything. The tour guide was very good. The tour of the castle was exceptional, but in comparison the tour of the garden amounted to little more than a walk from the castle to the fountain which we had done already whilst waiting for the guide earlier.

Excellent guide, short, rapid interior tour

Guide (Eddie) was excellent, more than willing to answer extra questions and go the extra mile. As always, palace rooms were crowded, making for a too rapid (although still good) tour. Garden tour much more open, of course, and excellent history and information. “Skip the line” always helpful.

Common sense explanation or why things are what they are.

Our guide provided reasons for why and how things were built which made sense. His explanation of European history was very appropriate and well done but a lot to take in and remember. This tour requires a lot of walking and standing.

Great tour of Schonbrunn and wonderful guide!!!

The tour of Schonbrunn Palace and Gardens was both interesting and informative. Our guide (I believe her name was Ingrid) was both knowledgeable and very pleasant. We enjoyed the tour very much!!!
