What people are saying about Venice

Lovely peaceful day drifting gently down the river to Venice.

The guide was lovely and delivered a lot of very interesting information throughout the trip in several languages. The three villa’s we visited were all worth seeing and with something unique to each so they were not all the same. There are some scarily low bridges on the river that meant it was not safe the be on the upper deck for some parts of the trip but there were no bridges on the last stretch so we sat on the upper deck then and it was a really lovely way to arrive in Venice.

Good Value trip but Guide was short tempered

Four of us took this trip and on the whole we thought it was good value for ney. 2 things spoiled it for us, firstly the guide was rather abrupt and certainly when we were waiting at 1pm in the full heat of the sun with no shelter at all and she just sat in the shade on the boat and told us we had to wait for a further 4 minutes it was not the right thing to do.

Worth it for an authentic Venetian experience

For those curious we had an amazing plate of cheese, olives and meat to start - all local. Then a couple of local sweet pastries, followed by tapas style dishes and finally some ciccheti at an amazing local bar. Alongside this we got a good walking tour round areas we hadn’t seen yet. Lovely host too! Great stuff.

Energetic and passionate guide who showed interesting side to Venice

Denise was full of energy and passion for her home town. She shared interesting stories about each place we visited as well as stopping for a gelato at her favourite shop from her childhood. Highly recommend this free tour. Nothing cheap about it!

Couldn’t hear anything the guide was saying on the boat,

Crew was polite and boat service was exactly as described. There was enough time on each island to explore and glass blowing presentation was amazing.
