Full description
Explore Rome through an invigorating private bike ride of about three hours. It doesn’t matter whether you are alone or accompanied by family or friends, cycling through Rome under the guidance of an expert tour guide is an exceptional way of discovering sights like ancient Roman shops and enchanting villages in a short period of time. Choose a traditional city bike for your ride – or upgrade your experience with a special e-bike!

Your bike tour today begins in Rione Monti, where discover on the the history and legends surrounding the local carpenters, artisans and courtesans. Today Monti is one of Rome’s hippest districts, but back in Ancient Roman times it was called “Suburra” – a low-class slum. Here, you'll discover one of the best chocolates in Italy hidden in the heart of the ancient district – and follow the perfume of freshly roasted coffee beans to a shop where you can grab a true local espresso. Energetic from the coffee, you'll ride on to the Jewish Ghetto, a small neighborhood whose workshops are well known the world over. Here you'll make a stop in the hidden basement of the “Pope’s cocciaro” to discover pots, pottery, art and design.

Along the way, you will enter alleys and cross the Tiber River and find yourself in the historic district of Trastevere. Here you won’t be able to resist a stop for a cookie or an ice cream at a spot only the local ‘Trasteverini’ know about – a spot that has won a coveted award from  ‘Gambero Rosso’. Nearby, at an ancient Pharmacy that seems trapped in a different era – you'll learn about the incredible poison anecdote invented by the doctor of the Ancient Roman emperor Nerone. Just ahead, you'll discover the winding, tiny streets that are a testamento the medieval  layout in the Regola district  where you''ll admire “Nuccio’s” antique library. Today’s biking tour isn’t complete without a tour to the prestigious Roman Mosaic school, which is particularly popular for its micro-mosaics.
